If you came to Canada in last year 2023, it is suggested that you should file your income tax return to be eligible for some benefits from government, even if you had no income in last year.

If you are a New Immigrant, Student, Work-permit Holder and want to file your tax return first time in Canada, please organize following information and bring with you when you go to file tax return.

1. Your landing date in Canada

2. Your world income  (if any) for the period and two previous years when you were not in Canada. 3. Form T2202 from your college/university.

4. If you lived in a rental house/apartment and paid monthly rent then your monthly rent amount, number of months and name of home owner/landlord is required.
